Kateřina Joštová

Kateřina Joštová currently holds the position of project manager at the Institute of Ethnology, Czech Academy of Sciences. Her journey has been enriched by her time in Denmark, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Natural and Cultural Heritage Management from the University College of Northern Denmark, followed by a master’s degree in Spatial Design and Society from Roskilde University. Throughout her master’s studies, she delved into understanding the consumption of designed places, products, and processes from a societal perspective.

During her academic pursuits, Joštová engaged in practical experience by interning at the Czech NGO AutoMat, where she focused on advocating for an improved urban environment in Prague. Subsequently, she transitioned into the role of Customer Success Manager at a digital publishing platform following her time in Denmark.

Within her role at the Institute of Ethnology of the CAS, Joštová actively supports researchers by aiding in the preparation of project proposals, reporting, and project implementation at both national and European levels. In the project “Unequal citizenship and transnational mobilisation of Polish, Czech, and Ukrainian Roma in the face of war in Ukraine,” she serves as a coordinator of scientific activities, supporting the principal investigator and the entire team.
